Agra: A large number of Aligarh Muslim University ( AMU ) students gathered at Bab-E-Syed gate after a local court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of an undergraduate student, Mohd Talib, who was arrested on charges of vandalism and promoting enmity following the February 12 campus violence.Prosecution officer Indrajeet Pal said that the bail plea was rejected by the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (9) Kuldeep Singh. He said that further decision on the course of action will be taken by the union after their meeting with the district authorities. Pal told TOI that his release could incite violence, as he was involved in arson and had vandalized a vehicle that vitiated the atmosphere in the campus on Feb 12.Vice chairman of the students’ union Hamza Sufyan said that they are going to meet district administration officials, who had assured them of Talib’s early release..
