GRP invokes sedition charges in blast case

AGRA: The Railway Police have invoked sedition charges against unknown persons for planting a bomb in Kalandi Express. A low-intensity blast took place in the general coach lavatory of the train on Wednesday evening at Barrajpur railway station near Kanpur.On Friday, Government Railway Police (GRP) in Farrukhabad invoked section 124 (A) of IPC (sedition) against unknown person.Mukesh Malik, station house officer (SHO) of Farrukhabad GRP said: “We have also added sedition charge in the FIR. We will soon crack the case. Soon, the main accused involved in the anti-national activity will be arrested.”According to police, at least three men have been detained from Shivarajpur area of Kanpur district for questioning.Teams from GRP Agra division, Kanpur Police and ATS are jointly working on the case.Ravikant Parashar, circle officer (CO) GRP Kasganj said, “We have received good leads from a detained man.
