Over 30 farm leaders in UP receive legal notice on 'lawful behaviour'

On Thursday night, social activist Savitri Chahar was issued notice under CrPC 149 [police to prevent cognizable offence] warning her to stay away from the protest.

The notice issued by Malpura SHO mentions that FIR will be registered and her property can be seized.

Chahar, 50, hails from Dhanoli village of Agra district and is a mother of two.

She had raised local issues with the district administration in the past and is known for organising protests involving women.
“The cops are threatening me and my family with legal action.

They have asked me to stay away from the farmers` protest.

I will continue to hold public meetings against the three farm laws.
