The deceased man, Pawan Kumar, was a resident of Prem Nagar and the incident took place under Rasulpur police station limits.
Kumar’s family said that he was in a ‘relationship’ with the 20-year-old woman, a resident of Shanti Nagar, for a year.
The woman had called Kumar around 1am to meet her, the family claimed.
Kumar was later mercilessly thrashed at the woman`s house.
On hearing Kumar cry for help, locals called the cops.
Kumar’s brother Akash said, “We came to know about the incident at 7am.
