10,000 people to be vaccinated per day in all districts of UP: govt

After a lag in the pace of Covid-19 vaccination, the Uttar Pradesh state government has directed the health department to vaccinate at least 10,000 people per day in each district in UP

To increase vaccination, the state government has directed the health department to take the help of the auxiliary nurse midwives, Anganwadi workers, gram pradhans to bring people to the vaccination centres.

Chief medical officer of Agra district Dr RC Pandey said, “The total population of Agra district is around 52 lakh.

The population of people above 60 years of age and those above 45 years of age and suffering from health issues is 4.46 lakh.

All these people should get vaccinated in the next four months.”

“The turnout of people at the vaccination centres has been low.

In this regard, the state government has set a target for the vaccination of 10,000 people per day.

We have organized 81 booths for vaccination.
