Water storage capacity up by 39 lakh litre in Ahmedabad

The water storage capacity in Ahmedabad district alone has been increased by 39 lakh litre due to the water conservation drive run by the Gujarat government. The state-wide drive was launched by the CM Vijay Rupani from Bharuch on Gujarat foundation day on May 01 with the target to increase the water storage capacity by 135 crore litre water in state. The workers engaged in the works of deepening of lakes and desilting of reservoirs have excavated 3.9 lakh cubic meter area and that will increase the storage capacity of water in equal amount."
