Gujarat: Fee regulation case to be heard in Supreme Court today

The apex court on Wednesday will hear the much talked about case related to the Gujarat Self-Financed Schools (Regulation of Fee) Act. The Federation of Self-Financed Schools on May 21 had sent a list of recommendations to the state government. The Gujarat government on Wednesday will make a submission in the Supreme Court, suggesting that extra-curricular activities offered by schools should not be made mandatory. Chudasama said that they would be drawing Supreme Court's attention to those schools which have not yet approached the Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) with their proposals.
