Ahmedabad | Wednesday | 18th July, 2018

Summary:

Usually, these food joints are located in rural areas and that is why hardly any team reaches there for food quality inspection. The government is going to form teams to conduct raids on highway food joints, and this will be a continuous process. The health department noticed that roadside eateries used the same oil repeatedly to fry snacks, which generates carbon that is hazardous for health. Gujarat government recently announced to ensure good quality of edible oil used for frying food at roadside eateries in urban areas. There will be a special team for this and simultaneous raids will be conducted at different places..
