AHMEDABAD: An eight-year-old girl was allegedly molested in Anandnagar by her 50-year-old neighbour who fled the area with his family after the incident on July 28. When the girl went with him, he took her inside his house and allegedly molested her. The girl was sent for a medical examination by police and the statements of other neighbours were also taken. The girl was so frightened that she stopped talkiing to anyone in the family. The prolonged discussions and with their community members delayed the family, but the victim’s family finally approached the police.Police have booked the accused under IPC section 354 for molestation and under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act..
