AHMEDABAD: The crime branch sleuths on Wednesday night arrested four members of the Chiklikar gang from near Sabarmati area for committing thefts in Vijapur, Sabarmati , Gandhinagar , Kalol and Pethapur. Police said the gang used to operate during the day as pig poachers, cap and specs sellers. “The gang is also involved in vehicle thefts,” he added.“Kartarsing was earlier held in Bhavnagar in an accident case, he was also arrested by Adalaj police for bike thefts and by Anand police for a house break-in. We have flashed a message across the state to gather details of house break-ins which have not yet been cracked,” added Chaudhary. “They used to recce the target area during night and identify locked bungalows,” Chaudhary said..
