Summary:

AHMEDABAD: Social media sites like Facebook might be popular for sharing posts and pictures among friends, but the platform helped city Childline (1098) track a girl's parents to a distant village in Nepal. "We first decided to approach Bihar police as the girl was not sure whether the village is in India or Nepal. We had a word about the case and we also shared the girl's photograph with the village's name. They inquired on their own and got back saying they had no information of the said village or the missing girl. Logistics were arranged from both the sides after which the girl finally returned home in third week of August..
