Inspector risks life to save man from drowning in Sabarmati river

A 25-year-old man was rescued by the Sub-inspector of Ahmedabad Police from drowning in the Sabarmati river on Sunday night when the devotees were celebrating the Ganesh Visarjan. Soon people started to gather around the place, even some called the Fire rescue team for help. He managed to flee from them and jumped into the river to save himself. While he and his team were standing near the Atal Ghat at around 9,30pm, they saw a man running towards the gate of the ghat and jumped into the Sabarmati River.
