Ahmedabad: 5,757 traffic offenders nabbed for not wearing helmets

In order to nab traffic offenders in the city, the Ahmedabad traffic police department has started a drive targeting people riding without helmets. During the drive on Wednesday, around 5,757 traffic offenders were nabbed by traffic police and around Rs 6.2 lakh has been recovered from the violators. The cops had barricaded the road and were targeting the commuters, who were not wearing helmets. The drive was conducted at such places and stretch were we found usually people were not wearing helmets and the six points were made to target them.
