Gujarat: Truck helper stabbed for carrying buffaloes, police arrest driver

(Representational Image) (Representational Image)Self-claimed cow vigilantes allegedly stabbed a conductor of a truck carrying buffaloes in Ramol area of Ahmedabad on late Saturday night. According to the police, the truck was carrying around 30 buffaloes from Deesa to Bharuch in south Gujarat for slaughter without mandatory papers and permission. While Mustufa Sipai, the driver of the truck, has been arrested, police said that they are yet to identify the attackers. “The driver (Sipai) was arrested from the spot, whereas Qureshi, the conductor, will be arrested after he recovers,” said Ramol Inspector M S Kotwal.
