Lady groped in public for objecting to swear words

AHMEDABAD: A 40-year-old woman was groped and had her clothes torn in full public view by four unknown men, when she objected to them using swear words at a garden in Railway Colony in the Sabarmati area of the city late on Sunday night.When the woman’s husband tried to rescue her, he was beaten up by them.The woman, who has two daughters, stated in the FIR lodged on Monday that she had gone to the park near her house as her daughter wanted to play on a swing.“Four men were using swear words loudly near the park. They then tore my blouse and groped me in front of all the people there,” the woman stated.“When my husband intervened to rescue me, they assaulted him and one of them snatched my mangalsutra,” the woman added.One of the men threatened her by saying that they belong to a notorious gang and can eliminate her and her family if she took any legal action against them.Someone from the crowd called the police after which police rushed to the spot and registered a complaint against the four men for molestation, assault, criminal intimidation, theft and for uttering obscene words..
