Ahmedabad: Chinese tukkal leads to one case of fire

Summary:

In the year 2017, the city police commissioner had issued an order banning the Chinese Tukkal and Chinese threads during Uttarayan. In the present year, the number is reduced to one, which happened due to Chinese Tukkal. The ban on Chinese lanterns by the high court (HC) and the raids city's police department has reduced the number of fire incidents in the city during Uttarayan as compare to previous year. This is the third year after the ban was issued and the city has witnessed tremendous drop in the fire incidents which occured due to Chinese Tukkal's year after year. In 2017, only four minor incidents were registered in the city, following in 2018, the cases reduced to three incidents, with no casualty reported..
