SURAT: Anti-corruption sleuths caught the joint general manager (engineering and civil), Airports Authority of India ( AAI ) at Surat airport on Thursday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a contractor. Soon after the bribe was paid ACB officials nabbed Gupta. The complainant had put-up bill for completion of annual maintenance work and the accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 for clearing it. The accused was nabbed accepting bribe in his office at Surat airport.The accused had demanded two per cent of the total bill of Rs 15 lakh from the complainant.
