For the scientific closure of landfill site Pirana, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to rope in Tata Consultancy. And, the civic body will share the existing DPR with the newly roped firmed and will ask them to prepare a revised DPR. During the period of 2015 to 2016 the civic body had invited proposal from the private companies for bio-mining of garbage hill. The Pirana landfill site is more than 40 years old and has accumulated more than 70 lakh metric tonnes of waste over the years.
