Gujarat govt cancels Udgam school's stand to run two shifts

In less than a month of Udgam School for Children announcing change in school timings and introducing two shifts, the state government has cancelled the permission for violating primary education rule. Commenting on the same, Manan Choksi, Executive Director, Udgam School for Children said, “The government has got into some misunderstanding. The parents had alleged that the two shifts will compromise on the quality of education. As per the circular issued by the state government, since the school has been found violating the Right to Education rules, 2012 and Bombay primary education rules, 1949, the permission to run two shifts has been cancelled.
