Gujarat: No ticket for non-performers, 8 to 9 sitting MPs to go

Ahmedabad | Wednesday | 20th March, 2019

Summary:

As many as eight to nine sitting Bharatiya Janata Party members of the Parliament from Gujarat may be removed this time. Party leaders also prepared the panel considering the caste equation that has to be a balanced and considerable representation to women leaders. "There are some sitting MPs who have demanded ticket for family members such as wife or children but there is no scope to accept their proposals. The party's Parliamentary board has analysed the performance of these MPs in the past term and have decided to replace the candidates. They may not get ticket as we have prepared the report accordingly that will be submitted to our central parliamentary board.".
