Heatwave effect: 262 people reported ill in Ahmedabad

In the past two days, 262 people reported ill due to extreme heat conditions prevailing in the city, according to 108 emergency services. On Wednesday, the city reported 41.6 degrees Celsius as the maximum temperature which was four degrees above normal. "These days extreme heat is prevailing and due to that, a person can be dehydrated easily," said Dr Pravin Garg, a senior family physician. For the city, the maximum temperature is expected to remain around 42 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature could be around 27 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius which was also four degrees above normal..
