Ahmedabad gets 6mm rainfall, relief from heat

Vayu may have brought relief from the heat, but unlike other parts of Gujarat, Ahmedabad has hardly received any rain. Thanks to the rain, Ahmedabad recorded a temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius which was 2.9 degrees below normal on Saturday. The city in all received 6 mm of rainfall upto 4 pm although it caused mild flooding in several parts. The highest rainfall was received in the west zone that saw 11 mm of rainfall while the lowest rainfall was received in the central zone that recorded a measly 2 mm of rainfall. Across the state, the highest temperature was recorded in Vadodara that saw the mercury climb to 36.6 degree Celsius..
