Ahmedabad crime branch on Tuesday arrested members of an auto gang who were involved in 39 cases across the state. The gang used to steal valuables from people who would board their autorickshaw for a ride. Using the same modus operandi, the accused had stolen more than Rs 2 lakh worth valuables from 39 passengers in the last six months. Further investigation also revealed that the accused were involved in a total of 39 cases across the state in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bharuch, Ankleshwar, and Dholka among other districts. They were using a woman in their gang so that lady passengers don't hesitate to take a ride.".
