In a bid to reduce the load on the overburdened Civil Hospital in Asarwa and UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre, the state government is all set to upgrade the existing Civil Hospital in Sola into a multi-super speciality hospital. A medical practitioner of the hospital said: "As of now, patients from across the state and from outside, have to throng to Civil Hospital, Asarwa, and UN Mehta Hospital for getting simple procedures like angioplasty done. Once we have the three super speciality departments, we will be able to reduce the burden of these two hospitals and patients will be able to avail treatment at Civil Hospital, Sola".
