The state government on Monday said that over 2 lakh households will be covered under the state's solar rooftop policy within a year which will help generate over 600 megawatt (Mw) of clean energy. "An installation of more than 3 KW up to 10 KW will get 20 per cent subsidy," said Patel. He said that this year the state was targeting 2 lakh solar rooftop projects and 8 lakh in the next three years which will help generate 1,800 MW electricity. "With an installed capacity of 326.67 Mw up to March 31, 2019 the state leads others in the country in solar energy generation," said Patel.
