In an attempt to make the city safer for women, the Ahmedabad police will soon station close to 100 Nirbhaya vans in the city. Askshayraj Makwana, DCP Zone 5, who is also part of the project said about 100 Nirbhaya vans will be ready soon to be stationed at different locations in the city including malls, colleges, vegetable markets etc. 'The van will have both women police officials as well as counsellors in them to help the women in distress," Makwana said in release.
