People have become more aware and stopped littering at the city station and in trains. In 2016-17, a total of 8966 cases were lodged and a total of Rs 9.2 lakh worth fine was collected. At the Ahmedabad Railway station, officials had even started fining those people captured littering on CCTV cameras installed at the station. Surveillance is done by officials through CCTV cameras and the people littering on the station are caught and fine by the official.
