Ahmedabad, Sep 2 (PTI) Gujarat reported 10 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking the infection tally to 8,25,445, while no fresh death due to the disease was registered in the state, said the Health Department.A release from the department said since no new death was reported in the last 24 hours, Gujarat"s coronavirus toll remained unchanged at 10,081.With 12 patients getting discharged from hospitals during the day, the tally of recoveries rose to 8,15,213, leaving the state with 151 active cases, it said.Gujarat"s COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.76 per cent, the release said.Of the total 151 active cases, only 3 patients are on ventilators, while 148 are stable, it said.As many as 4.77 crore doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered to the eligible population in Gujarat till now.
Of these, a little over 7.23 lakh doses were given on Thursday, the department said.No new case of COVID-19 emerged in the adjoining Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu in the last 24 hours, said an official release.One patient recovered during the day, it said.Out of the total 10,635 persons found positive for coronavirus in the Union Territory since the outbreak, 10,627 have recovered, four have died and as many are currently under treatment, said the release.Gujarat COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 8,25,445, new cases 10, deaths 10,081, discharged 8,15,213, active cases 151, people tested so far (figures not released).
