On World Bamboo Day, SoU and Radio unity 90 FM celebrate the significance of Bamboo showcased in Ekta Nursery

orld Bamboo Day is observed on September 18 every year with the aim to raise awareness to conserve and promote the bamboo industry.

It was observed by the World Bamboo Organisation (WBO).

The days also aims to bring the potential of bamboo to protect the natural resources and the environment and to ensure sustainable utilization of bamboo.

Bamboos are used for various purposes mainly in East and Southeast Asia.

It promotes the new cultivation of bamboo for new industries in regions around the world for community economic development.
