Mural painting at Minto Park in Allahabad

Summary:

The team of these artists were roped in by the authorities of the forest department of the district which has revamped the entire park. Allahabad: Visitors of all age coming to Allahabad in the forthcoming Kumbh-2019 and visiting the famous Minto park , located few meters from Sangam area, are all set to witness the entire jungle and variety of animals found in it within the four-walls of this iconic park of the city. The main office of forest department (Allahabad zone) is located within one corner of this park.Lead by a former students of AU, Uddham Singh, the team has made Eight large sized mural paintings of the wild animals. The jungle and its animals are there on the walls in form of mural paintings.This famous park is located besides the river Yamuna and so named after Earl of Minto who, in 1910, laid a stone memorial with a four-lion symbol on the park. There is everything, from flamingo to peacock, dear, blackbuck, reindeers etc..
