ALLAHABAD: Naini police, on Thursday, claimed to have busted an inter district gang of auto lifters and arrested two of its members near Arail Bundh road while plotting to dispose of stolen bikes.The police have also recovered 10 stolen bikes and one 0.315 bore country made pistol , and one knife form their hideouts.The arrested auto lifters have been identified Mohd Imran and Mohd Siraj , both residents of Poora Fateh Naini. SP Trans Yamuna D K Chaudhary said " apart from stealing bikes from city pockets, the accused were also involved in drugging and robbing passengers".He further added " police have been looking for both of the criminals as they were wanted by both naini and karchana police for lifting of vehicles'.Body found: Body of an unidentified woman (30) was found lying near Lendiyari village in the limits of Khiri police station on Thursday morning.The police have sent the body for postmortem.Police also added that the identity of the slain woman was yet to be ascertained as she as per preliminary investigation, was strangled to death.Narrow Escape: Over a dozen pilgrims on Thursday had a narrow escape when the boat carrying them lost balance near sangam area..
