‘DMs, DIOS to plug paper leak in UP Board exams’

Summary:

The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board (UP Board) would hold the class X and XII examinations from Thursday. The district administration can place demand for deploying STF personnel in the centres which have a history of mass copying and violence. Section 144 is imposed in 100 metre radius of examination centre but in case of sensitive centres it can be expanded further. Each sector would have 12 to 15 centres and is headed by SubDivisional Magistrate or ACMs. The high school exams would be completed on February 28, and the intermediate on March 2.At least 21% of the total centres in the state have been categorised as either sensitive or most-sensitive due to incidents of copying in last year..
