Allahabad: Allahabad High Court on Friday adjourned till April 5 the hearing in a PIL seeking stay on the release of “PM Narendra Modi”, a biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Hearing a PIL filed by one Sana Ullah Khan, president of Bhim Sena, a division bench comprising justice Pradeep Kumar Singh Baghel and Justice Pankaj Bhatia adjourned the hearing and fixed April 5 as the next date of hearing.The film is scheduled to be released on April 5.In the public interest litigation (PIL), the petitioner took the plea that the movie, if permitted to be released for public viewing before the elections, would violate the model code of conduct imposed by the Election Commission of India (ECI).Further, the petitioner also questioned the time of the film’s release and said if it was released as scheduled, it was likely to earn much electoral mileage for Modi.The petitioner contended that the date of release of the movie “PM Narendra Modi” is at a crucial time as the nation is set to go to Lok Sabha polls starting April 11..
