Railways announced compensation of Rs.

5 lakh for the families of the deceased, Rs.

1 lakh for those severely injured.

ADG said that fractured railway track appears to be the cause of the accident as per local assessment

Earlier, Vasco Da Gama Express Train had also derailed at Tirupati Station in January 2017.

Despite number of initiatives taken by Railways, the train accidents are unstoppably happening, which raises serious question on the ability of Railways authorities to give accident-free services.

Recently, Suresh Prabhu had to cost his job due to major train accidents in this year.

However, new Minister Suresh Prabhu is also facing the same challenges.

Unfortunately, entire system seems to appear helpless controlling incidents of accidents.
