Summary:

Sohal stresses that the literature from Pakistan is popular among readers and over the time, the communication through words have increased. “Launched three years ago, the idea was to bring together Punjabi literature from Punjab of both sides. Punjabi in Pakistan, especially Lahore side, is considered ‘mitti’ or in other words purist, ancient. Another reason to dedicate a space for Pakistani literature is to analyse the divide in terms of progression of Punjabi language on both sides. The magazine’s list of Pakistani contributors includes known names like Nazam Hussain Saaed, Zafar Iqbal, Ilias Ghuman and others..
