Vigilance seeks look out notice against Kolianwali

BATHINDA: The Punjab Police have written to the Union home ministry (MHA) to issue a look out circular (LOC) against senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Dyal Singh Kolianwali . Since the case was registered, Kolianwali has been evading arrest.Sources in the state vigilance said that Kolianwali had apparently filed anticipatory bail application in district and session court Mohali. So he allegedly spent Rs 1.71 crore or 71.5% more than his known sources of income.The vigilance bureau also found that Kolianwali had earned a lot of money from postings and appointments of persons in connivance of government officials. The state force is apprehensive that the former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal’s close associate, who is facing disproportionate assets case might leave India.A few days ago, the state vigilance bureau had written to the intelligence wing of Punjab Police to ask the MHA to issue LOC. It was likely to be heard on Wednesday.The bureau had investigated period of April 1, 2009, to March 31, 2014, and found that Kolianwali during this period earned Rs 2.39 crore from his known sources of income but spent Rs 4.1 crore..
