Langah writes to Akal Takht for re-induction into Panth

The Gurdaspur court absolved Langah of all charges in July.While confirming receipt of Langah’s plea, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh said, “We have received his application to rejoin the Sikh Panth. The woman had also handed over a video clip of Langah allegedly abusing her. Langah has to prove that he was not in the sleazy video only then he can be pardoned. That could pave way for his rejoining the Sikh fold,” said sources.Langah’s acquittal and return to Sikh fold will give a major boost to the party ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections since despite courting controversies; he enjoys immense clout in the Gurdaspur region.
