AMRITSAR: A female law student has levelled serious allegations of harassment, intimidation and making sexual advances against a police officer to the rank of Assistant Inspector General ( AIG ). “Since the allegations are of serious nature against an AIG, we are conducting an investigation before registering FIR." The woman has lodged a complaint with the police seeking stern action against the said official.The woman, in a video uploaded on social media , claimed to have come in contact with the police officer through her mother.In the video, she is seen talking to the said police officer on WhatsApp and the person can be heard using threatening and abusive language with her while she is seen pleading to leave her alone.The woman who is a mother of a six-year-old child alleged that the police officer in question had sought sexual favours and threatened to implicate her in a police case upon her denial.When contacted, Amritsar police commissioner SS Srivastava agreed that police had received a complaint from a lady against the police officer..
