CM Parkash Singh Badal justifies Congress demand for paddy bonus

BATHINDA: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patriarch and former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal has justified the demand of the ruling Congress in Punjab to demand Rs 100 per quintal bonus on paddy to be used for stubble management. Justifying the demand of the farmers, the former Punjab CM said they were already aggrieved and need to be supported. The Union government does not listen to such a small number of MPs.”He avoided speaking further on the issue and Badal took next the question. He also demanded solution to the rising prices of petroleum products and said it was another burden on the farmers. He said, “We are holding rally at Patiala to oppose the freedom of expression and freedom of voting as the Congress government snatched these rights by rigging the zila parishad elections.”.
