AMRITSAR: Former Akali minister Sewa Singh Sekhwan said on Sunday that he had told SAD patriarch Parkash Singh Badal that he, Khadoor Sahib MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura and former MP Rattan Singh Ajnala would not attend the former CM's rally in Patiala.Talking to TOI, the 'taksali' (veteran) Akali leader said Badal had called him to persuade him to attend the rally. "But I clearly told him that we all three will meet and discuss the issues with him (after the rally in Patiala)," he said.Apart from the three veteran leaders, former MLAs Ravinder Singh Brahampura and Amarpal Singh Bonny are also likely to stay away from the event.Sekhwan said this was not the first time he had tried to caution party leaders against leaving Panthic issues..
