SGPC to elect its new president, office-bearers on November 13

The mini-parliament of Sikhs decided on the date in its executive meeting at Gurdwara Ber Sahib on Wednesday.Speaking to the media after the meeting, SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal said that as 550th anniversary of Guru Nanak is to be celebrated in 2019, SGPC would focus throughout the year on propagating and spreading Sikhism.He said that the beginning of the anniversary functions would start from Sultanpur Lodhi and major religious functions would be held on November 22 and 23.Meanwhile, SGPC president also got started the work for “Mool Mantar Asthaan” near Gurdwara Sant Ghat, where Guru Nanak got enlightenment..
