Two child workers rescued from Faridkot dhaba

BATHINDA: A team of the Faridkot district administration rescued two children working at a dhaba near Bargari on Monday night.Faridkot deputy commissioner Rajiv Parashar said they had information that the children had been hired for cleaning utensils and the owner made them work till late in the night. "They have been sent to a shelter home run by the district wing of Red Cross Society and their parents have been informed," he said. He said the team reached the eatery on the national highway stretch between Bajakhana and Bargari, and found two children - Sarfaraz (17) of Purnia in Bihar, and Mohammad Tasatgir (14) of Katihar in Bihar.Mohamad Sanjar, also from Purnia, has been running the dhaba for 13 years..
