Two days after grenade attack, no clues about assailants

AMRITSAR: Two days after a hand grenade thrown on a congregation of Nirankaris killed three persons and injured 20 near Amritsar, police are unstill unable to say who carried out the attack and why. Amritsar (rural) SSP Parampal Singh said police were investigating the incident and couldn't share the vital clues gathered by them with the media at this stage. He, however, added that they may have some 'news' to share soon.Sources said that the sketches of two assailants were almost ready and could be released on Wednesday by police. When asked whether they had released the sketches of assailants, he replied that police were on the job and getting the sketches prepared.Two masked motorcycle-borne youth had lobbed a grenade at Rajasansi branch of Nirankari Bhawan at Adliwal village near Amritsar on Sunday.
