Manpreet hints at contesting Lok Sabha elections from Bathinda

BATHINDA: Finance minister Manpreet Badal said on Thursday that he was willing to face his sister-in-law Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal in Bathinda as he had done during the 2014 parliamentary election. “We want that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should provide some respite to Punjab by waiving of part of it,” he added. Stating that it the decision depended on the party, Manpreet refuted the rumours that wife Vinu or son Arjun could fight the election instead.On Sunday, while casting her vote in panchayat elections, Harsimrat announced that she would contest only from Bathinda.
