The SIT claimed that statements of these police officials were of paramount importance and they were waiting for it before winding up the probe.The team which started its job in October 2018 till now has examined or recorded the statements of 212 persons, including former CM Parkash Singh Badal, SAD president Sukhbir Badal and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and 36 policemen.
