Army jawan dies in Pakistan firing along LoC

BATHINDA: An Army jawan from Moga died on Monday in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the Line of Control ( LoC ) in Sunderbani Sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir Rifleman Karamjeet Singh (24) was from Janer village in Moga and had joined the Army four years ago. His father Avtar Singh too had served the Army and retired as Naik a few years ago.Karamjeet is survived by parents, elder brother and a married sister. We can’t keep losing our sons in such skirmishes between India and Pakistan. Pakistan is supporting terrorism which is killing our sons on the border. I want our Prime Minister to find a permanent solution to this and save young men, who are sacrificing their lives every other day, at the borders,” he said.“Initially, Karamjeet wanted to settle abroad, but agreed to join the Army when I persisted..
