Lessons on painting, sketching at art camp

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, June 13The Indian Academy of Fine Arts (IAFA) has been organising its month-long summer art camp to develop young artists and introduce art to them at a young age. Traditional art genres, including painting, sketching and sculpture making, are also being focused upon by a team of mentors, including noted artists Narinder Singh, Kulwant Singh Gill, Atul Mehra and other have been taking workshops and demonstrations for children as well as young artists. Animation, caricatures, texture designing, photography, clay modelling, puppet-making, etc., are also being taught. “The camp aims at developing skills that cannot be taught in a classroom. The motive is to offer creative activities and hone the participants’ skills,” informed Arvinder Chamak, general secretary, IAFA..
