Amritsar, June 20Amid its ongoing drive against drug abuse, rural police personnel conducted raids at different places here on Wednesday evening. Though no one was arrested with drugs, officials said that similar raids would be continued in the future also. Amritsar (Rural) SSP Vikram Jeet Duggal said the station house officers and other police officials had been asked to prepare a list of those involved in drug trafficking in their areas and keep a close watch on them. He said the main objective of the exercise was to nail drug peddlers and put them behind bars and smash the drug network operating in the rural belt. He informed that police teams raided at Baba Bakala, Majhupur, Mattewal, Butari, Wadala Kalan, Wadala Khurd, Dhianpur, Maddepur, Khilchian, Bandala, Sheikhupura, Jalal, Mehta, Chachowali, Mehmudpur, Bala Chak, Chamiari, Panj Goraya, Shan Ghogha, Doake, Muhawa, Rajatal, Dhanoe Kalan, Dhanoe Khurd, Bhakna Kalan, Hoshiarnagar and Pandori Waraich village..
