Traders’ body against power tariff hike

He said the Punjab Industrial Policy notified a good time after the formation of Capt Amarinder Singh-led state government on October 17, 2018 which categorically stated on its page number 16 and 17 that the power tariff would be kept unchanged for the industry for the next five years. “It is a rude shock that the government failed to implement it. Earlier, offer of Rs 5 per unit power supply to the industrial units also remain an eyewash as traders are shelling out almost double the rate,” Seth said.
