Our CorrespondentTarn Taran, September 3The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Booh, on Tuesday organised a kisan mela under Jal Shakti Abhiyan with the theme of water conservation at Sohawa village, 25 km from here, in which a large number of farmers, rural youth and farm women participated. Sandeep Rishi, ADC (G), inaugurated the mela and encouraged farmers regarding water conservation practices. Dr Balwinder Kumar, Deputy Director (Training), besides various experts too stressed on saving water. Officials of the Department of Agriculture, Soil and Water Conservation, Department of Water Sanitation, CDPO, Verka and FASC participated in the mela and put their exhibitions regarding water conservation practices. Sarpanches and panches of different villages participated in the kisan mela and expressed their opinions and problems on water conservation strategies..
